Library:
The College Library has large area and accommodates about 150 students for reference work at any time. The Library has number of titles 974 and no. of volumes of books 3151and maintains open access facility for students and staff members which include Books, Magazines, Periodicals and Scientific Journals (National / International). The Library has a reprographic section to meet the requirements of students and staff. The college provides high speed leased line (8 Mpbs) internet facility with wi-fi connection.

Books The library has a vast and comprehensive collection in:
Internet Lab Ten systems connected to LAN with Internet facility are provided for the Students. They can use the facility for their project work, preparation for seminars and paper presentations, online access to IEEE journals, e-books and study material. Intranet facility is provided to access the previous question papers, teaching schedules, internal marks, attendance, daily circulars etc.
Reprographic Service One Canon Xerox Machine is provided in the library for the students to photocopy any study material from textbooks and journals.
Departmental Libraries In addition to the Central Library, every department has department library. All important text / reference books are maintained in the departmental libraries for the use of faculty and students
Book Bank Scheme Students can opt for book bank scheme costing Rs.4,500/- for the entire course. This scheme runs on the basis that each student should posses at least one text book for each subject throughout his/her 4 years of study. Procuring these books from the market is arduous and expensive proposition and also some editions are not available in the market. Book bank scheme is devised to overcome this problem. Large number of students are availing this facility.
In this scheme, students have to pay Rs. 4500/- at the time of admission in 1st year, which is non-refundable. (Average cost of total books is Rs. 645 per semester). |
